Whites City, NM

Finally made it to Whites City RV Park on 27 April. It's located right outside the entrance to Carlsbad Caverns and 35 miles from Guadalupe Mountains National, Park.

However, duty called, and I had to head back east for a bunch of work and personal stuff. DISA TechNet Cyber in Maryland, Montgomery IT Summit in Alabama, my annual dive trip (this year in Grand Cayman), and some down time in Montgomery.

I returned to Whites City on 10 June. My plan is to hit Guadalupe Mountains National Park (McKittrick Canyon, Guadalupe Peak, Devils Hall) and Carlsbad Caverns.

Whites City consists of a strip-mall-like structure, an RV park and a Marathon Gas Station and that's it. The strip mall has a gift shop, grocer and post office. If you're staying in the RV park, you can get your mail to "General Delivery for Steve Goldsby" for up to 30 days at no charge. Anything beyond that and you'll need to get a PO box.
